about me

music i love

Regina Spektor
check her out, she's amazing. her nem ablum What
We Saw From The Cheap Seats is out now. so if you are
looking for some really special music she's
a perfect choice (+ i'm going to her show in Vienna!!!!!)

The Beatles
i definitely love them. my grandma introduced me to
their (awesome) music when i was 8, but probably even
way before that.

Pink Floyd
i'd give anything to go back in time and be there at their
show in Berlin, 1990. another great band my grandmother
put on the cd player a few years ago.

Nirvana
so they weren't on my grandma's cd shelf and i had to
go find their music. it's a good feeling to know you like Nirvana.
it's like finally finding out you have always loved maths.

Nina Zilli
she's young, she's Italian and she makes great music.
she's something different, and really, really good.
(and i'm going to her show.)

+ Guns N' Roses, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Vladimir Vysotsky, Tom Waits,
Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday, Björk, Deep Purple
and many, many, many more...

books i love

George Orwell - 1984
i read this book in april. it's an amazing book, it changes the way
you see the world. definitely, definitely worth reading.

Italo Calvino - If on a winter's night a traveller
this book is so awesome. i love it so much. so if you've got
nothing to do read it.

Mihail Bulgakov - The Master and Margarita
i'm reading it, but i stopped because i can't remember all the
names. but it's really great. so if you read it pay attention to names.

Jonas Jonasson - The Hundred-Year-Old Man...
i'd call it an alternative adventure book, but reading it is an
adventure itself. it's like listening to Pink Floyd. you never get tired of it.

Anne Frank - The Diary of a Young Girl
i read it last year and it made me understand how lucky i am
for a life. it's one of those books you'll never forget.

+ Nine Stories (Salinger), Tschick (Herrndorf), Franny and Zooey (Salinger),
The Metamorphosis (Kafka), Kitchen (Yoshimoto), Animal Farm (Orwell)

movies i love

Train De Vie (R. Mihaileanu)
this film is funny, really funny, but it still has a deep,
important meaning. it's an original, great tragicomedy.

Le Concert (R. Mihaileanu)
be careful with this film, because it's extremely, endlessly
funny. after watching it 30 times it's more awesome than ever.

The Leged of 1900 (G. Tornatore)
this film... it's so sad, wonderful and funny at the same time...
a classic, a masterpiece. if you don't watch it, you can't die in peace.

Lisbon Story (W. Wenders)
the film itself  is great, of course, but the location... it's just
breathtaking. it makes you want to go there immediately.

Good Bye Lenin! (W. Becker)
another amazing tragicomedy. i can't write much about it, you
just need to see it. you won't be disappointed.

+ The Pianist (Polanski), Orchestra Rehearsal (Fellini), Amélie (Jeunet), The Triplets
of Belleville (Chomet), Baarìa (Tornatore), Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (Tornatore)
